Commemoration of Consul Konstanty Rokicki

A ceremony was held in Lucerne, Switzerland, on October 9, 2018, to unveil a new tombstone for Konstanty Rokicki. Under the auspices of Aleksander Lados, Consul Rokicki prepared hundreds of South American passports for Jewish refugees who were at risk of deportation to a death camp. After the war, Rokicki lived in poverty and was buried in a mass grave. Subsequently, his remains were identified using genetic testing and he was buried with due honors.

The photographs below show members of the International Committee of the Lados Group in attendance at the unveiling ceremony.
